Estonia GDP Annual Growth Rate at 3.70 percent  
The Estonian economy grew by 3.7 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2018, following a downwardly revised 3.3 percent expansion in the previous period, mainly driven by a pick up in household consumption (4 percent vs 3.8 percent in Q1) while fixed investment fell at a softer pace (-0.8 percent vs -9.2 percent). Meanwhile, public spending contracted (-0.5 percent vs unchanged) and net external demand contributed negatively to GDP growth as imports jumped 7 percent (vs 5.7 percent in Q1) and exports rose at a softer 5.9 percent (vs 0.2 percent in Q1). On the production side, the main contributors to economic growth were construction; manufacturing; professional, scientific & technical activities; transportation & storage; and information & communication. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, the GDP rose by 1.4 percent in the three months to June, following an upwardly revised 0.2 percent growth in the previous period.
