Estonia GDP Annual Growth Rate at 5.00 percent  
The Estonian economy grew by 5 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2017, following a 4.2 percent expansion in the previous period. Government spending growth accelerated to 1.5 percent from 0.9 percent in the third quarter, while household consumption rose at a softer 2.6 percent (vs 3.5 percent in Q3) and fixed investment increased 5.8 percent (vs 13.2 percent in Q3). Meanwhile, net external demand contributed negatively, as imports jumped 4.2 percent (vs 4.4 percent in Q3) and exports went up 3.4 percent (vs 1.5 percent in Q3). On the production side, the main contributors to the economic growth were information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, and manufacturing. Considering 2017 full year, the economy grew by 4.9 percent, compared with 2.1 percent in 2016.
