Italy Industrial Sales Decline in June

Italy’s industrial turnover dropped 1.0% month-on-month in June 2026, reversing a downwardly revised 0.5% rise in the previous month.
Sales declined in both domestic (-1% vs 0.1% in May) and foreign (-1% vs 1.3%) markets.
On an annual basis, industrial turnover, adjusted for calendar effects, rose 3.1%, slowing from a downwardly revised 5.2% increase in May, as growth moderated in both domestic (2.3% vs 4.7%) and foreign (4.6% vs 6.2%) sales.
By industrial group, turnover declined only for consumer goods (-1.2%), while energy (22.2%), intermediate goods (5.4%) and capital goods (0.8%) recorded increases.
Meanwhile, turnover in the services sector showed no change compared to the previous month, following a 0.2% rise in May.
In the second quarter, seasonally adjusted industrial turnover increased 1.2%.
