The CAC 40 Index fell 11 points or 0.13 percent on Tuesday to close at 8715 points. Leading the losses are STMicroelectronics (-3.21%), Stellantis NV (-2.25%) and Bouygues (-1.72%). Top gainers were TP (2.95%), TotalEnergies SE (1.41%) and Capgemini (1.39%).

Luxury stocks declined amid increased risk aversion, with LVMH down 0.8% and L’Oréal losing 1.2%. Industrial shares also fell, with Airbus shedding 1% and Safran down 0.5%, while financials weakened, led by a 1% decline in BNP Paribas. In contrast, TotalEnergies advanced 1.4% on higher oil prices.
