France’s official reserve assets fell to €355.39 billion at the end of June 2026 from €381.30 billion in May, marking the lowest level since October 2025, primarily due to a sharp decline in gold reserves.
Gold holdings decreased by €27.81 billion from the previous month to €277.03 billion.
Meanwhile, claims on the IMF increased to €39.46 billion from €38.85 billion in May, foreign currency reserves rose to €32.42 billion from €31.15 billion, and other reserve assets edged up to €6.48 billion from €6.46 billion.
In June 2025, total reserve assets stood at €294.72 billion.
