Croatia’s trade deficit narrowed to EUR 1.4 billion in February 2026 from EUR 1.6 billion a year earlier. Exports rose 3.3% year-on-year to EUR 2.1 billion, while imports declined 4.3% to EUR 3.5 billion. In the January-February period, the trade deficit also narrowed to EUR 2.6 billion from EUR 3.1 billion in the same period of the previous year. Over this period, exports fell 3.9% to EUR 3.9 billion, driven by lower sales to both EU (-2.5%) and non-EU markets (-6.5%).
