Growth slowed in food, beverages, and tobacco (0.3% vs 1.0% in March), while declines were observed in fabricated metal products (-2.3% vs 1.6%), repair and installation of machinery (-2.5% vs 2.8%), computer and electrical equipment (-0.7% vs 2.0%), machinery and equipment (-1.6% vs 2.7%), ships, boats, and oil platforms (-0.7% vs 4.6%), and rubber, plastic, and mineral products (-0.2% vs 2.5%). In contrast, production rebounded strongly for refined petroleum, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals (4.5% vs -1.9%) and basic metals (5.5% vs -0.1%).
