Norway’s manufacturing production decreased 0.1% month-over-month in December 2025, following a downwardly revised 2% gain in the previous month. Declines were mainly observed in the production of food, beverage and tobacco (-0.7% vs 0.8% in November), fabricated metal products (-0.9% vs 2.4%), computer and electrical equipment (-0.3% vs 3.6%), and machinery and equipment (-0.8% vs 1.1%). At the same time, growth moderated in refined petroleum, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals (1.3% vs 5.6%) and ships, boats and oil platforms (2.4% vs 4.9%). Meanwhile, output in repair and installation of machinery was unchanged, following a 0.2% fall in November.
