FTSE MIB Rises on Tech and Industry Gains

The FTSE MIB rose 0.9% to close at 49,420 on Wednesday as investors focused on corporate earnings while continuing to monitor developments in the Middle East.

Recordati gained 4% after reporting a 22.4% year-over-year increase in first-quarter net income and reaffirming its full-year 2026 guidance.

STMicroelectronics surged 9.9%, tracking gains across the broader European semiconductor sector.

Other notable performers included Prysmian (+4%), Stellantis (+3.4%), and Tenaris (+2.6%).

Meanwhile, Snam fell 1% despite posting strong first-quarter results, while Infrastrutture Wireless lost 1.1% ahead of its earnings release.
