Germany's DAX traded just below the flatline around 23,150 on Wednesday, hovering around five-month lows, in a session dominated by anticipation for Nvidia's earnings, considered a key test of the resilience of the AI sector.
Investors' attention is also focused on the upcoming FOMC minutes and Thursday’s US jobs report for signals on the Federal Reserve’s policy direction.
Merck, Infineon Technologies, Heidelberg Materials, RWE, E.ON and Adidas were the biggest laggards, with losses between 0.7% and 1.5%.
On the upside, shares of Daimler Truck and Siemens Energy stood out, up 3.1% and 2%, respectively.
