The CAC 40 rose 0.7% to 8,428 on Monday, extending last week's gains as signs of de-escalation in the Middle East boosted market sentiment.
The US and Iran halted hostilities following nearly two weeks of retaliatory attacks that had effectively derailed the June ceasefire.
At the same time, Iranian and Omani officials discussed efforts to ensure the safe passage of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, easing concerns over potential supply disruptions.
Luxury stocks spearheaded the advance, with LVMH gaining 1.2% ahead of its first-half results release later today, while Hermès and Kering rose 2.3% and 2.4%, respectively.
Other notable gainers included Airbus (+1.5%), Safran (+2.9%), BNP Paribas (+1.4%), and EssilorLuxottica (+2.1%).
On the downside, TotalEnergies was among the few laggards, falling 2.4% as crude oil prices tumbled amid easing fears of supply disruptions in the Middle East.
