CAC 40 Inches Up as Investors Track US-Iran Talks

The CAC 40 edged up 0.1% to close at 7,994 on Tuesday as investors monitored developments surrounding US-Iran negotiations and ongoing G7 meetings in Paris.
US President Donald Trump said he had canceled a planned strike on Iran following appeals from Gulf allies, adding there was a “very good chance” of reaching an agreement to curb Tehran’s nuclear program.
Meanwhile, finance ministers and central bank governors from the G7 warned of rising fiscal pressures and heightened volatility across global bond markets.
Luxury stocks advanced, with LVMH gaining 1% and Hermès rising 2.1%.
Industrials traded mixed, with Safran up 0.4% while Airbus slipped 0.4%.
Financial shares were also mixed, as AXA added 0.7% while BNP Paribas lost 0.5%.
Schneider Electric dropped 2.1%.
