Baltic Dry Index Falls on Monday

The Baltic Dry Index declined 1.7% to 2,696 on Monday, ending a three-session winning streak.
The Capesize Index, which tracks vessels typically carrying around 150,000 tonnes of bulk commodities such as iron ore and coal, fell 2% to 4,200, its lowest reading since July 23.
The Panamax Index, covering ships that usually transport 60,000 to 70,000 tonnes of coal or grain, dropped 1.2% to 1,999, marking its weakest level in eight weeks.
Among smaller vessel segments, the Supramax Index decreased 1.4% to 1,670.
