The Argentina CER (Coeficiente de Estabilización de Referencia, or Reference Stabilization Coefficient) is a daily index created by the Central Bank (BCRA) that measures inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from the statistical authority INDEC. It is primarily used to adjust the value of financial instruments, such as inflation linked bonds, Bonos CER, protecting capital against inflation by adjusting payments upwards in accordance with the official inflation rate.
