Taiwan M2 Money Supply Hits New Record Peak

The Broad M2 money supply in Taiwan increased by 5% year-on-year to a new all-time high of TWD 67,082 billion in December 2025, following a 5.11% gain in the previous month.

Despite this increase, the slowdown in annual M2 growth was primarily driven by net capital outflows.

For the full year, the average annual growth rate stood at 4.54%.

For the first eleven months of the year, the average annual growth rate stood at 4.50%.
