The Broad M2 money supply in Taiwan increased by 5.16% year-on-year, reaching a new all-time high of TWD 67,785 in January 2026, following a 5% gain in the previous month.
This growth was mainly driven by a rise in the annual growth rate of lending and investment, which climbed to 6.71% from 6.23% in December, led by higher growth rates in claims on the private sector, government, and public enterprises.
On a monthly basis, the broad M2 money supply rose by 1.05% in January 2026.
