FTSE MIB Rises on Strong GDP and Bank Gains

The FTSE MIB rose 1% to close at 45,527 on Friday, tracking gains for European stocks on evidence of traction in the continent's growth.
Both the Eurozone and the domestic GDPs grew by 0.3% in the fourth quarter amid resilience in private consumption, lifting the outlook for corporate returns.
Banks benefited from the positive credit prospective with Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, and Mediobanca adding between 1.7% and 3%.
Most luxury names also outperformed, with Moncler up 1.3%, Brunello Cucinelli advancing 1.9% and Campari gaining 3%.
Other notable gainers included STMicroelectronics (+1.3%), Stellantis (+2.0%) and Prysmian (+1.2%).
On the downside, Ferrari (-0.8%) and Eni (-0.9%) both ended the session lower.
