FTSE MIB Rises to 2007 Peak Amid Global Optimism

The FTSE MIB climbed 2.3% to close at 43,896 on Monday, its highest level since April 2007, tracking global gains as optimism grew that the US government shutdown was nearing an end.
The US Senate advanced a measure to reopen the government, lifting risk appetite across markets.
Financials led the rally, with Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena surging 5.5%, UniCredit up 4.1%, Banco BPM 4.7%, and Intesa Sanpaolo 3.5%.
Mediobanca rose 4.3% ahead of its earnings release, with forecasts pointing to higher revenues and profits.
Poste Italiane gained 1% before its November 12 report, where analysts expect stable revenues and stronger earnings.
In the utilities sector, Enel added 0.4%, while Eni climbed 1.4% as oil prices strengthened.
Among automakers, Ferrari rose 1.4% and Stellantis 2.4%.
Lottomatica jumped 6.8% after announcing a €500 million share buyback plan.
Infrastrutture Wireless and Diasorin were the only decliners.
