FTSE MIB Rises After Fed Cut

The FTSE MIB rose 0.8% to close at 42,308 on Thursday, tracking the positive momentum in Europe after the Fed’s FOMC delivered a widely expected quarter-point rate cut, its first easing move of the year.
STMicroelectronics led the index (+4.7%) after unveiling plans for a pilot line in Tours, France, to advance automated chip packaging and test processes, expected to be operational in Q3 2026.
Ferrari (+3.4%), Intesa Sanpaolo (+0.4%), Unicredit (+0.2%), Amplifon (+2.8%), and Brunello Cucinelli (+4.0%) also gained.
On the downside, Enel (-0.5%), Telecom Italia (-1.2%), Terna (-0.9%), and Campari (-1.1%) slipped.
