Hong Kong Forex Reserves Dip Slightly in December

Hong Kong’s foreign exchange reserves fell to USD 427.9 billion in December 2025, down from USD 429.4 billion in November, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
The reserves remain more than five times the currency in circulation and represent approximately 38% of the Hong Kong dollar M3.
At the end of December, there were no unsettled foreign exchange contracts.
