Hong Kong Forex Reserves Hit 3-Year High

Hong Kong’s foreign exchange reserves rose to a three-year high of USD 435.6 billion in January 2026, from USD 427.8 billion in December 2025.
The reserves remain more than five times the currency in circulation and represent approximately 38% of the Hong Kong dollar M3.
At the end of January, there were no unsettled foreign exchange contracts.
