This marked the first monthly decline since November 2025, as output tumbled for motor vehicles (-12.8% vs 7.8%), electronics (-1.6% vs 5.2%), pharmaceuticals (-4.1% vs 7.4%), and textiles, clothing and leather (-7.6% vs 12.8%). Output also continued to contract in petroleum and chemicals (-5.7% vs -0.8%) and rubber, plastic, glass and concrete (-4.9% vs -4.6%), while growth stalled in food, beverages and tobacco (0% vs 1.1%) and slowed markedly in wood, paper and printing (0.1% vs 6.8%). In contrast, production rebounded in metal and metal products (2.2% vs -8.9%), electrical equipment (2% vs -4.4%), and machinery (6.9% vs -3.4%).
