The Danish consumer confidence index fell to 7.3 in September of 2017 from 7.6 in August which was the lowest in three months, and below market expectations of 8. Households believe that the country's economic situation is worse than a year ago (14.3 from 15.3 in August) and that there was a deterioration in their current financial situation (4.7 from 5.8). Also, expectations for the year ahead worsened for the country's economy (11.1 compared to 11.7), and intentions to buy major purchases declined further (-5.7 from -4.7). On the other hand, households continued to expect a drop in unemployment over the next year (-8.2 from -10.4) and savings propensity for the year ahead decreased (26.0 from 29.4). Meanwhile expectations for the year ahead improved for household's finances (16.2 compared to 11.6), and inflation is seen lower in the next 12 months (18.0 from 20.7).
