Australia Private House Permits Confirmed to Fall 0.2%

Private house approvals in Australia fell by 2% month-over-month to 9,142 units in June 2025, confirming preliminary estimates, and following a 1% decline in the previous month.
This marks the second consecutive month of decrease in private house permits, driven by falling approvals in Queensland (-6.3%), South Australia (-2.6%), New South Wales (-2.4%), and Western Australia (-1.5%).
On the other hand, permits increased in Victoria (1.4%).
Compared to the same month of the previous year, private house approvals rose by 0.2% in June, slowing from a 2.2% advance in the preceding period.
