Industrial production in Turkey dropped 1.4% year-on-year in June 2026, deepening from a revised 0.1% decline in May and marking the second consecutive month of contraction.
It was also the steepest drop since January, as manufacturing output fell for the first time in three months (-1.5% vs 0.2%), weighed down by weaker production of tobacco products, wearing apparel, leather and related products, printing, and rubber and plastic products.
Meanwhile, mining and quarrying activity continued to contract, although the pace of decline eased (-1.6% vs -5.5%).
In contrast, electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply continued to expand, accelerating slightly to 1.1% from 1.0%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production edged up 0.1%, reversing a revised 3.0% decline in May.
