Imports to Montenegro went up by 4.3% year-on-year to EUR 160.8 million in February of 2018, boosted by higher purchases of food & live animals (+6.3%); crude materials, except fuels (+31.5%); manufactured goods (+7%) and machinery & transport equipment (+31.1%). Meanwhile, imports dropped for beverages & tobacco (-15.7%); mineral fuels & related materials (-37.5%) and chemicals (-0.4%). Serbia was the major trade partner (21.5% of total imports). Imports in Montenegro averaged 158285.40 EUR Thousand from 2007 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 264187 EUR Thousand in July of 2008 and a record low of 65304 EUR Thousand in January of 2007.
