Prices rose less for: transport (7.6% vs 9.2% in June); clothing & footwear (4.1% vs 4.3%); communication (1.3% vs 1.5%); miscellaneous goods & services (0.5% vs 1.3%) and restaurants & hotels (4.7% vs 5.6%). In addition, cost declined for housing & utilities (-0.1%, the same pace as in June) and recreation & culture (-0.7% vs -0.3%). In contrast, inflation picked up for food & non-alcoholic beverages (1.5 percent vs 0.9 percent) and transport (7.6 percent vs 9.2 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went up 0.2 percent, the same pace as in June.

Output rebounded for mining & quarrying (21.4 percent compared to -26.1 percent in May) and fell at a softer pace for manufacturing (-9.3 percent compared to -16.1 percent in May). Also, production electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply continued to increase more than 200 percent, as in the prior month. On a monthly basis, industrial output went up 13.4 percent, after dropping 17.0 percent in May. Considering the first half of the year, industrial production advanced 31.6 percent compared to the same period of 2017.
