Meanwhile, softer sentiment was recorded across several other sectors, with confidence in the trade sector weakening as the indicator fell to 91.9 from 92.8. Czechia Business Confidence Falls to 4-Month Low
The business confidence indicator in the Czech Republic fell to 99 in May 2025 from 100.4 in each of the previous two months. This marked the lowest reading since January. Confidence weakened most notably in industry, where the indicator declined by 2.6 points to a four-month low of 94.5. Sentiment also deteriorated in the trade sector, which dropped by 2.2 points to a nineteen-month low of 92.8, while the indicator for selected services decreased by 0.5 points to 102.4. In contrast, sentiment improved in construction, with the indicator rising by 2.4 points to a seven-month high of 117.9.
