The Czech business confidence indicator was unchanged at 100.2 in August 2026, as stronger sentiment in industry offset declines across construction and trade, while services confidence edged lower.

Industrial confidence rose to 98.1 from 97.8 in July, marking the highest reading since March.

Meanwhile, construction confidence fell to 112.6 from 113.2, while trade sentiment weakened to 92.2 from 93.3.

Confidence in selected services eased to 102.2 from 102.4.

Confidence in industry edged up to 97.8 from 97.5 in June, marking the strongest reading in four months. Meanwhile, construction confidence increased to 113.2 from 111.4, while trade sentiment strengthened to 93.3 from 91.9. Confidence in the services sector also improved slightly, with the indicator rising to 102.4 from 102.2.

The business confidence indicator in the Czech Republic rose to 99.8 in June 2026 from 99.0 in the previous month. The improvement was driven by stronger confidence among industrial firms, with the indicator rising to 97.5 from 94.5 in May. Meanwhile, softer sentiment was recorded across several other sectors, with confidence in the trade sector weakening as the indicator fell to 91.9 from 92.8. Confidence also edged lower in selected services, easing to 102.2 from 102.4, while construction confidence dropped to 111.4 from 117.9.
