Chile Inflation Rate Steady at 4.1%

Chile's annual inflation rate was steady at 4.1% in September 2026, unchanged from August.
Inflation accelerated for transport (7.9% vs 6.8%), housing and utilities (3.6% vs 3.4%) and health (5.1% vs 4.9%), while deflation in clothing and footwear eased to 3.1% from 4.0%.
In contrast, inflation eased for food and non-alcoholic beverages (4.3% vs 4.6%), recreation, sport and culture (5.2% vs 6.4%) and restaurants and lodging (5.6% vs 6.6%), while education stood at 5.8%.
The decline in prices for insurance and financial services deepened sharply to 9.7% from 3.6%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.4%, following a 0.6% increase in August.
Year-to-date inflation reached 4.0%.
