Industrial production in Chile fell 3.4% year-on-year in March 2026, following a 1.3% decline in February.

This marks the sixth month of contraction, and the sharpest since February 2025.

Manufacturing output dropped 4.5% extending a 3.0% decline in the prior month as copper output fell 9%.

Mining contracted 3.7% after a 0.2% expansion in February.

Utilities production rose 1.4% after growing 0.5% in the previous month.

In contrast, utilities production rose 0.5%, down from a 1.2% increase in January.

Industrial production in Chile decreased 1.6% year-on-year in January 2026, following a revised 1.8% fall in December. It was the fourth consecutive decline in industrial output, driven by 3.8% drop in manufacturing production, the most since June 2024. Also, mining production decreased 0.1%, including a 3% fall in copper output. On the other hand, utilities production rose 1.2%.
