Turkey Producer Inflation Edges Up in August

The annual inflation rate in Turkey rose to 27.95% in August 2026 from 27.83% in the previous month.

Costs increased for manufacturing (29.68% vs 28.96% in July) and water supply (29.59% vs 28.85%).

Meanwhile, prices eased in mining and quarrying (38.88% vs 41.81%) and electricity, gas, production and distribution (7.57% vs 11.69%).

By industrial groupings, price growth continued for intermediate goods (27.41% vs 26.79%), durable consumer goods (28.54% vs 26.57%), energy (27.33% vs 26.62%), and capital goods (22.06% vs 21.28%).

In contrast, price growth moderated in non-durable consumer goods (30.28% vs 32.46%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 2.57% in August from 1.52% in July, the highest in three months.

Turkey Producer Inflation Slows to 5-Month Low
The annual producer inflation rate in Turkey eased to 27.83% in July 2026 from 28.09% in the previous month. It was the softest rise since February, driven by smaller price increases for mining and quarrying (41.81% vs 53.50% in June), manufacturing (28.96% vs 29.65%), and water supply (28.85% vs 29.26%). On the other hand, producer inflation picked up for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (11.69% vs 4.12%). By industrial groupings, price growth moderated for intermediate goods (26.79% vs 27.89%), durable goods (26.57%), and capital goods (21.28% vs 23.01%). In contrast, costs accelerated for non-durable goods (32.46% vs 31.42%) and energy (26.62% vs 24.93%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 1.52% in July, the lowest in seven months and slowing from a 1.8% gain in the preceding period.

Turkey Producer Inflation Eases Slightly in June
The annual producer inflation rate in Turkey edged down to 28.09% in June 2026 from 28.93% in the previous month. Producer price growth slowed slightly in manufacturing (29.65% vs 30.72% in May), while easing more notably in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (4.12% vs 6.88%) and water supply (29.26% vs 35.00%). In contrast, price growth accelerated in mining and quarrying (53.50% vs 42.74%). By industrial groupings, producer price growth slowed in durable consumer goods (28.97% vs 31.39% in May), energy (24.93% vs 31.45%), and capital goods (23.01% vs 23.73%). Meanwhile, inflation accelerated slightly in intermediate goods (27.89% vs 27.76%) and non-durable consumer goods (31.42% vs 31.05%). On a monthly basis, Turkey's producer prices edged down to 1.80% in June 2026, following a 2.75% rise in May, marking the weakest monthly increase in six months.
