Turkey Consumer Confidence Highest Since 2023

Turkey’s consumer confidence index rose to 89.8 in July 2026 from 87.9 in the previous month, according to the latest Consumer Tendency Survey conducted jointly by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye.

The reading remained the highest since May 2023, driven by an improved assessment of households’ current financial situation, which rose to 74.5 from 72.3, alongside stronger expectations for the general economic outlook, which increased to 88.3 from 83.9 in June.

Confidence in households’ financial situation over the next 12 months also strengthened, climbing to 91.4 from 89.5.

Meanwhile, willingness to spend on durable goods eased slightly to 105.1 from 105.9.

Despite the monthly improvement, the index remained well below the neutral 100 threshold, indicating that consumers continued to be generally pessimistic about economic conditions.
