Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves fell to USD 594.27 billion in July 2026 from USD 597.15 billion in the previous month.
It marked the smallest figure since May 2025, mainly due to returns from the investment and utilization of foreign exchange reserves, exchange-rate fluctuations of major currencies against the US dollar, and efforts to maintain stability in the foreign exchange market.
Meanwhile, foreign investors’ holdings of Taiwan stocks and bonds, valued at market prices, along with their New Taiwan dollar deposits, reached USD 1.663 trillion, equivalent to around 280% of the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
In July 2025, Taiwan's foreign exchange reserves stood at USD 597.87 billion.
