Sweden New Orders Rebound in February

Total orders received by Swedish industry rose 1% year-on-year in February 2026, rebounding from a revised 4.4% decline in the previous month.
Orders in Sweden increased by 4.9% in February, recovering from a 1.2% fall in the prior month, while foreign orders declined at a softer pace of 1.3%, compared with a 6.1% drop previously.
Among industrial groups, growth returned in durable goods (10.1% vs -0.2%), non-durable goods picked up (5.1% vs 1.6%), and energy-related goods edged higher (6% vs 5.9%).
At the same time, orders in intermediate goods fell at a slower pace (-5.2% vs -17.7%), while growth in capital goods eased (4.4% vs 10.9%).
On a monthly basis, new orders fell 1.6% in February, slowing from a revised 5% decline in the preceding period.
In the first two months of the year, total orders were down 1.8%, with the domestic market growing 1.8% and the export market declining 3.8%.
