Poland Jobless Rate at 6-Month Low

Poland’s registered unemployment rate fell to 5.8% in June 2026, in line with market expectations and marking the lowest level since December 2025.
The latest figure came down from 5.9% in the previous month, as the number of unemployed persons declined by 14.4 thousand from a month earlier to 901.5 thousand, with women representing 49.1% of the total.
The majority of unemployed individuals were not entitled to unemployment benefits, accounting for 87% of the total.
Meanwhile, 4.5% were out of work due to company-related terminations, while fresh graduates made up 1.6% of all unemployed persons.
Additionally, 367.9 thousand had been out of work for more than a year.
Compared with June 2025, the jobless rate was 0.7 percentage points higher, having stood at 5.1% a year earlier.
Meanwhile, reported job vacancies at the end of the month increased by 2.6 thousand to 43.1 thousand.
