Poland Jobless Rate Steady at 5.8%

Poland’s registered unemployment rate stood at 5.8% in July 2026, in line with market expectations and unchanged from the previous month.
The latest reading still marked the lowest level since December 2025, as the number of unemployed persons declined by 4.9 thousand from a month earlier to 906.4 thousand, with women representing 49.6% of the total.
The majority of unemployed individuals were not entitled to unemployment benefits, accounting for 87% of the total.
Meanwhile, 4.5% were out of work due to company-related terminations, while fresh graduates made up 1.8% of all unemployed persons.
Additionally, 373.2 thousand had been out of work for more than a year.
Compared with July 2025, the jobless rate was 0.4 percentage points higher, having stood at 5.4% a year earlier.
At the same time, reported job vacancies at the end of the month increased by 3.5 thousand to 46.6 thousand.
