Poland Producer Inflation Highest Since 2023

Annual producer inflation in Poland accelerated to 4.2% in August 2026 from an upwardly revised 3.1% in the previous month, exceeding market expectations of 3.6%. It marked the sixth consecutive month of producer price growth and the highest reading since April 2023, as prices rose at a faster pace in mining and quarrying (6.4% vs 4% in July), manufacturing (4.6% vs 3.5%), and electricity, gas, steam and hot water supply (1.4% vs 0.3%). On the other hand, price growth eased in water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (2.2% vs 2.3%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.6%, slowing from an upwardly revised 1% in the previous month. For the January-August period, producer prices increased 1.3%.

Annual producer inflation in Poland accelerated to 2.8% in July 2026 from an upwardly revised 1.9% in June, exceeding market expectations of 2.3%. It marked the fifth consecutive month of price growth and the highest reading since May 2023, driven by higher prices for mining and quarrying (3.8% vs 2.2% in June), manufacturing (3.2% vs 2.1%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (2.3% vs 2.1%). On the other hand, prices for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply fell by 0.8%, reversing a 0.8% rise in the previous month. On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 0.6%, following a revised 0.1% rise in June.

Producer prices in Poland rose by 1.7% year-on-year in June 2026, slightly above market expectations for a 1.6% increase but easing from a 2.4% rise in the previous month. The latest reading marked the fourth consecutive month of annual producer inflation, though at a slower pace, as price pressures moderated across most major industrial sectors. The slowdown was driven largely by electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, where prices fell 0.9% after a 0.8% decline in May. Producer inflation also eased in mining and quarrying (2.4% vs 5.6%), manufacturing (2.0% vs 2.6%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (1.8% vs 2.0%). On a monthly basis, producer prices declined by 0.2% in June, following unchanged readings in the preceding period.
