Mexico’s manufacturing business confidence edged 0.1 point higher to 48.1 in August 2026 from July, remaining below the 50-point threshold for 18 consecutive months.

Manufacturers’ assessment of the current time as appropriate for investment rose 1.4 points to 34.4.

Their assessment of current business conditions was unchanged at 50.4 points.

Firms’ assessment of the country’s current economic situation edged 0.3 point lower to 47.8, while expectations for the country’s future economic situation fell 0.1 point to 51.9.

Expectations for the future economic situation of their companies edged 0.3 point lower to 55.9.

The assessment of the country’s current economic situation increased 0.5 points to 48.1, while expectations for the country’s future economic outlook rose 0.4 points to 51.8.
