Mexico Business Confidence at 5-Year Low

Mexico’s manufacturing business confidence eased 0.5 points to 47.8 in March 2026, hitting the lowest since March 2021, and marking the 13th straight month below the 50-point neutral threshold.
Investment willingness fell to 34.0 (–0.7), while the outlook for the national economy slipped to 51.5 (–0.6), and company outlook expectations dipped to 55.5 (–0.3).
Conversely, perceptions of current national conditions edged down to 47.9 (–0.2), and firms’ present situation softened to 50.3 (–0.2).
