Luxembourg Inflation Holds Steady at 2.2%

The annual inflation rate in Luxembourg rose by 2.2% in August 2026, matching the pace recorded from the previous two months.
Price growth was unchanged for education at 6.2% and information and communication at 0.9% compared with the previous month.
Meanwhile, prices rose for personal care, social protection, and miscellaneous goods and services (2.1% vs 0.5%), transport (5.3% vs 4.0%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.4% vs 1.3%), furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (1.5% vs 0.3%), and insurance and financial services (0.9% vs 0.8%).
In contrast, inflation eased for housing and utilities (0.5% vs 2.2%), clothing and footwear (1.0% vs 2.5%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.0% vs 2.2%), health (1.8% vs 2.2%), recreation, sport and culture (1.5% vs 2.2%), and restaurants and hotels (3.2% vs 3.5%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 1.2% in August, rebounding from a 0.5% fall in July and marking the highest monthly increase in four months.
