Luxembourg July Inflation Holds at 2.2%

The annual inflation rate in Luxembourg rose by 2.2% in July 2026, matching the pace from the previous month.
Price growth remained steady for food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.3%) and education (6.2%).
Meanwhile, faster increases in the prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco (2.2% vs. 1.5% in June), clothing and footwear (2.5% vs. 0.3%), health (2.2% vs. 2.1%), information and communication (0.9% vs. 0.7%), insurance and financial services (0.8% vs. 0.6%), and restaurants and hotels (3.5% vs. 3.4%) more than offset slower price growth for housing and utilities (2.2% vs. 2.6%), furnishings, household equipment, and routine household maintenance (0.3% vs. 0.4%), transportation (4.0% vs. 4.3%), recreation and culture (2.2% vs. 3.1%), and miscellaneous goods and services (0.5% vs. 1.2%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.5% in July, following a 0.1% increase in the preceding period.
