Luxembourg Inflation at 4-Month Low

The annual inflation rate in Luxembourg eased to 2.2% in June 2026 from 2.3% in the previous month, marking the lowest level since February.
Price growth moderated across several categories, including housing and utilities (2.6% vs. 3.3% in May), transport (4.3% vs. 5.9%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.3% vs. 2.0%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (1.5% vs. 2.5%), and information and communication (0.7% vs. 1.6%).
Meanwhile, inflation for clothing and footwear increased to 0.3% after remaining unchanged in May, while it accelerated further for health (2.1% vs. 0.7%) and rebounded for furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (0.4% vs. -0.4%).
Inflation also held steady for recreation, sports and culture at 3.1% and education at 6.2%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.1%, recovering slightly from a 0.2% decline in the previous month.
