The Tengri Partners Kazakhstan Composite PMI declined sharply to 49.1 in November of 2021 from 53.3 a month earlier, signaling the first contraction in the private sector since February. The decline was driven primarily by the service sector, which recorded a moderate reduction in business activity that ended a three-month sequence of growth; while manufacturing output increased fractionally. New orders fell for the first time in ten months; and employment continued to decline, extending its current sequence of decrease to seven months. Turning to prices, inflationary pressures mounted further, with input cost inflation hitting a survey record for the second month running and selling charges increasing strongly. source: Markit Economics
