Finland’s gross domestic product expanded by 1.4% year-on-year in July 2026, slowing from a 1.8% growth in the previous month.

The latest reading marked the sixth consecutive month of expansion in the Finnish economy, albeit at a softer pace.

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the country’s economy contracted by 1.1% in July, marking the steepest since February last year and reversing a 1% expansion in the preceding period.

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, GDP grew by 0.3% in June, following 0.1% increases in each of the previous two months.

This marked the fourth consecutive month of growth in the Finnish economy. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the economy grew by 0.8% in May from a downwardly revised 0.3% decrease in the preceding period.
