Finnish Economic Growth Slows in June

Finland’s gross domestic product expanded by 1.8% year-on-year in June 2026, following a downwardly revised 2.7% growth in the previous month.

The latest reading marked the fifth consecutive month of expansion in the Finnish economy, albeit at a slower pace and the weakest growth since February.

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, GDP grew by 0.3% in June, following 0.1% increases in each of the previous two months.

This marked the third consecutive month of growth in the Finnish economy, albeit at a softer pace. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the economy contracted by 0.6% in April from an upwardly revised 0.7% increase in the preceding period.
