Finnish Economic Growth Expands in May

Finland’s gross domestic product expanded by 2.8% year-on-year in May 2026, accelerating from an upwardly revised 2.4% growth in the previous month. This marked the fourth consecutive month of growth in the Finnish economy. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the economy grew by 0.8% in May from a downwardly revised 0.3% decrease in the preceding period.

Finland’s gross domestic product expanded by 0.9% year-on-year in April 2026, following an upwardly revised 2.5% growth in the previous month. This marked the third consecutive month of growth in the Finnish economy, albeit at a softer pace. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the economy contracted by 0.6% in April from an upwardly revised 0.7% increase in the preceding period.

Finland’s gross domestic product expanded by 1.3% year-on-year in March 2026, following an upwardly revised 2.2% growth in the previous month. This marked the second consecutive month of growth in the Finnish economy, albeit at a softer pace. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the economy contracted by 0.7% in March from an upwardly revised 0.3% decline in the preceding period.
