Industrial production in the Czech Republic rose 3.1% year-on-year in July 2026, slowing from a downwardly revised six-month high of 3.8% in the previous month.
The moderation was driven by a sharp decline in mining and quarrying output (-11.9% vs 0.8% in June) and a slower expansion in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (10.8% vs 25.1%).
Meanwhile, manufacturing output edged up to 2.6% from 2.5% in June, supported by rebounds in textiles (5.7% vs -2.9%), wood and wood products excluding furniture (2.0% vs -8.1%), and printing and reproduction of recorded media (7.2% vs -4.9%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell 1.1% in July, reversing an upwardly revised 1.4% gain in the previous month.
For the first seven months of 2026, industrial production was up 2.0% from the same period a year earlier.
