Czech Industrial Output Hits Six-Month High

Industrial production in the Czech Republic grew 4.0% year-on-year in June 2026, accelerating from a revised 2.0% increase in the previous month and marking the strongest annual growth since December 2025.
The sharpest increase was recorded in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, which surged 25.1% after a 2.1% rise in May.
Manufacturing output also strengthened (2.6% vs 2.2%), supported by higher production of computer, electronic and optical products (16.7% vs. 11.0%), repair and installation of machinery and equipment (8.1% vs. -6.3%), paper and paper products (4.5% vs. 2.4%), and food products (4.3% vs. 2.9%).
Meanwhile, mining and quarrying rebounded 1.1% after contracting 8.3% in May.
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose 1.2% in June, rebounding from a 0.4% decline in the previous month.
