Chile’s annual inflation rate eased to 4.1% in June 2025 from 4.4% in May, though it remained above the Central Bank’s 2–4% target range.
The slowdown was mainly driven by weaker price growth in food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.3% vs 4.6%), housing and utilities (10.5% vs 10.9%) and clothing and footwear (0.9% vs 1.2%).
In contrast, inflation accelerated for financial services (4.1% vs 3.6%), and remained elevated for restaurants and lodging (6.1% vs 6.4%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.4%, reversing a 0.2% increase in May and exceeding market expectations of a 0.14% decline.
