The biggest segments within Manufacturing are: machinery and equipment (9 percent of total production); basic metals (6 percent); food products (6 percent); motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (6 percent); fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (6 percent); and electrical equipment (5 percent). Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply account for 15 percent of total output; and construction accounts for 13 percent, of which building construction accounts for 4 percent and civil engineering accounts for 3 percent. Water supply, sewerage and waste management account for 2 percent of production, and mining and quarrying account for only 1 percent.
