Turkish Economic Confidence Hits 10-Month Peak

The economic confidence index in Turkey rose to 99.7 in January 2025, up from a marginally revised 98.9 in the previous month.
This marks the highest level since March last year and is approaching the neutral threshold of 100.
Sentiment improved among service providers (116.5 vs. 113.6 in December) and retailers (114.5 vs. 113).
Meanwhile, optimism among constructors edged down slightly (102.6 vs. 102.7), while manufacturers were less pessimistic (91.7 vs. 89.4).
However, consumer confidence weakened further (81 vs. 81.3).
